General Ship Repairs at Limassol’s Port

NAVKRATIS having the technical “know-how” and procurement expertise in executing major ship repairs & conversions, supported both ARCO and ship manager in all the phases of this particular project, starting from the tendering phase and ending to the closure phase. Our team collected full jobs specifications from the client, assisted the contractor in submitting a detailed turn-key proposal, prepared the works schedule based on ARCO’s allocated manpower and vessel’s wet dock schedule, monitored the logistics operations securing the safe & prompt arrival of ARCO’s tools / materials in Limassol, and finally, monitored all the jobs carried out by ARCO ensuring that work results will meet customer’s budget, time and quality goals.

An indicative list of the works conducted by ARCO, in collaboration with NAVKRATIS, is presented hereunder:

• The davits’ track rollers were replaced in eight life boats
• Satisfactory load test was performed after completion of all steel works in the l/b davits, as per Class requirements.
• Installation of a new supplied sea water cooled condenser in one Air Condition main unit, as well as construction of copper nickel piping for connecting the A/C unit with the existing systems.
• Several external weather tight doors – insulated type A-60 – were supplied & installed on board.
• Swimming pools tiles were removed, the surface was properly cleaned and maintained and new mosaic tiles were placed and grouted according to ship’s request.
