An oil cooler was delivered by Navkratis to a bulk carrier for installation to its hydraulic deck crane type 30Tx24M of MHI MARINE ENGINEERING. The existing cooler was not performing correctly, basically, crane was suffering from overheating problems , and the owner decided to replace it with our upgraded oil cooler design.
This new deck crane oil cooler was designed & produced by FARAD SA with better mechanical characteristics & raw materials than the original installation for increasing cooler’s lifespan. Specifically, its tubes, fins & oil flow regulation inserts were respectively made of CuNi (90/10), copper & stainless steel.
