On Friday, 22 May 2015 students from the newly-established programe “Technical Procurement and Ship Purchasing” offered by M.I.E.E.K. (Post-secondary Institute of Vocational Education and Training of the Cyprus the Ministry of Education) visited NAVKRATIS, with their trainer Mr. Christos Zachariadis.

NAVKRATIS, based near Limassol’s  port,  deals with the supply of equipment, spare parts and the provision of repairs for ships worldwide . The Commercial Director of NAVKRATIS,  Menelaos Demetriou,  with more than 12 years of working experience as Senior Technical Buyer in a major shipping company ,  welcomed the students and explained in detail the supply chain process within the shipping industry, as well as giving them useful tips about their future career as marine purchasers.

The program is expected to be offered again – free of charge –  in September, 2015.
